  • The Career Development Service encourages people to take responsibility for managing their own careers, helping individuals to recognise the opportunities open to them.  We provide a comprehensive, confidential and personal service. We promote diversity and equality of opportunity in all that we do. The CDS manager and team work closely with a group of highly experienced specialist career coaches and workshop facilitators who are selected, trained and supervised to deliver a client-focused service.

  • ConnecT is part of the Teaching and Learning programme. The aim of ConnecT is to enable leaders and managers to develop technology strategies and assess their organisation's e-maturity. The intention is to aid whole organisational improvement.

  • CPD coaching is a new service from CEL, designed to help individuals participating in CEL programmes and services to get the best out of them.

    CPD coaches have an in-depth understanding and experience of the sector, of CEL and its programmes, and of providing expert career development support to professionals.

    On the completion of the CEL programme or service, your CPD coach will support you in identifying key learning objectives to apply at work. You will review the outcomes, benefits and impact of the CEL programme, and embed your learning more effectively.

  • CPD coaching is a new service from LSIS, designed to help individuals participating in LSIS programmes and services to get the best out of them.

    CPD coaches have an in-depth understanding and experience of the sector, of LSIS and its programmes, and of providing expert career development support to professionals.

    For the LSIS programme or service you are due to undertake, your CPD coach will support you in identifying learning goals and preparing for your upcoming learning experience.

  • eQuIP for ACL - elearning quality improvement programme for leaders in adult and community based learning. A one day training course to empower in-house facilitators to deliver a customised programme to fellow senior management team members.

  • Welcome to Leading Sexual Orientation Equality, the innovative leadership programme that offers participants the opportunity to develop leadership skills and expertise in making sexual orientation equality integral to organisational culture, policy and practice.  The programme addresses the findings of the LSIS (formerly CEL) research report, Equality and sexual orientation - the leadership challenge for further education.

  • This area is only accessible by facilitators who have undertaken the LSIS training and successfully completed the assessment. Facilitators can access all the materials and resources for their own event in this area.
  • This is an area for subscribers and other normal users of the Safeguarding and safer recruitment resource to access any additional resources and to join discussion forums. To access the online learning programme and the assessment go to the shared course area.
  • This area is for associates working on the CEL Train to Gain programme.  It will be a repository of useful information and a place to discuss issues.

  • WBL eXplorer is an interactive learning programme that focuses on developing and implementing an e-enabled innovation.  It is designed to encourage the development of a culture of innovation in the strategic leadership of information and learning technologies (ILT) for work-based learning leaders, whilst supporting the leadership of change in an evolving environment.
